Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all payments made for advertisements, promotions, and featured listings on PlanetPointers ("the Service"). By making a payment, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Advertisement and Promotion Purchases

1.1 Service Activation

Once payment is successfully processed, your advertisement or promotion will be activated immediately or as per the start date you selected during purchase. The service begins as soon as your listing goes live on the platform.

1.2 No Cancellation After Activation

Due to the immediate nature of our digital advertising services, no cancellations are permitted once your advertisement or promotion has been activated. This includes:

  • Featured listings
  • Promoted places
  • Sponsored advertisements
  • Premium placements
  • Any other paid promotional services

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are granted only under the following exceptional circumstances:

2.1 Technical Failure

If our platform experiences a technical failure that prevents your advertisement from displaying as purchased for more than 48 consecutive hours, you may be eligible for:

  • A pro-rata refund for the downtime period, or
  • An extension of your advertisement period equal to the downtime

2.2 Duplicate Charges

If you are charged multiple times for the same advertisement due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate charges in full within 7-10 business days of verification.

2.3 Service Not Delivered

If payment is processed but your advertisement fails to activate within 24 hours due to an error on our part, you may request either:

  • Immediate activation with extended duration to compensate for the delay, or
  • A full refund if you choose not to proceed

2.4 Unauthorized Charges

If you notice unauthorized charges on your account, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will investigate and process a full refund if the charge is confirmed to be unauthorized.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following situations:

  • Change of mind after purchase and activation
  • Dissatisfaction with the results or performance of the advertisement
  • Lower than expected user engagement or traffic
  • Errors in advertisement content provided by you (you may edit or update content during the active period)
  • Account suspension or termination due to violation of our Terms of Service
  • Promotional packages or discounted offers (these are final sale)
  • Partial refunds for unused portions of an active campaign

4. Modification and Editing

Instead of cancellation, you may modify or edit your advertisement content at any time during the active period through your account dashboard at no additional cost. This includes:

  • Updating text and descriptions
  • Changing images and photos
  • Modifying contact information
  • Adjusting target location (if applicable)

Note: You cannot change the duration or promotion tier of an active campaign. These are fixed at the time of purchase.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund under eligible circumstances:

  1. Email us at [email protected] within 7 days of the issue occurring
  2. Include your transaction ID, order number, and payment receipt
  3. Provide a detailed explanation of the issue with supporting evidence (screenshots, etc.)
  4. Our team will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days
  5. If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days

6. Payment Processing

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe). Any payment processing fees charged by these gateways are non-refundable, even in cases where we issue a refund for the service cost.

7. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Special promotional offers, discount codes, and limited-time packages are considered final sale and are non-refundable under any circumstances. Please ensure you understand the terms of any promotional offer before completing your purchase.

8. Suspension Due to Policy Violations

If your advertisement is suspended or removed due to violation of our content policies, Terms of Service, or applicable laws, no refund will be issued. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Prohibited or illegal content
  • Misleading or fraudulent information
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • Spam or manipulative practices

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our policies without prior notice.

9. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, PlanetPointers is not liable for minor interruptions in service due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues lasting less than 48 hours. No refunds or credits will be issued for such brief interruptions.

10. Currency and Conversion

All prices are listed in the currency displayed at checkout. If your bank or payment provider applies currency conversion fees or foreign transaction fees, these are your responsibility and are non-refundable.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern regarding charges or refunds, please contact us first at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is being resolved.

We are committed to resolving all legitimate disputes fairly and promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.

However, any changes will not affect refund requests made prior to the policy update.
